Last week, we had the privilege of presenting Professor Aviv Regev with the prestigious Rabbi Shai Shaknai Award!
This award celebrates her exceptional contributions to computational and systems biology, especially in single-cell genomics. We were also fortunate to attend an inspiring seminar by Professor Regev, where she shared her groundbreaking research and insights, giving us a glimpse of some of the ingenious computational techniques developed by her lab that have changed our understanding and approach to the field of genomics. These techniques provide powerful tools for better understanding the function of mammalian cells in health and disease, which may be helpful in drug development. Professor Regev also dedicated her time to having lunch and discussing with the students of the center. It was a great honor!
