Congratulations to Prof. Michael Berger and Dr. Omri Yosef on Their Recent Publication in Nature Communications

The Lautenberg Center for Immunology and Cancer Research is proud to congratulate Prof. Michael Berger and Dr. Omri Yosef on the publication of their groundbreaking study, titled “Metabolic reprogramming driven by Ant2 deficiency augments T cell function and anti-tumor immunity in mice,” in Nature Communications.

In this study, the researchers reveal how loss of the mitochondrial ADP/ATP carrier Ant2 leads to a profound metabolic shift in T cells, enhancing their function and boosting anti-tumor immunity in mouse models. These findings highlight a novel link between mitochondrial metabolism and immune cell performance, opening promising avenues for cancer immunotherapy.
